| | "you're hurting me a lot by not answering my phonecalls" (I don't know wether this bridge is the way an English native speaker would translate, but at least it is just like the French version : " Tu me fais énormément de mal en ne répondant pas à mes appels" : " you are hurting me a lot by not answering my phonecalls". of course there are a lot of different ways to translate in order to get the same meaning, inversing propositions, but the way I translated it keeps the subject-verb-complement in the same order, then the idea that the adressee is the one who's hurting the sender (active way). In French one could say : "Cela me fait énormément de mal que tu ne répondes pas à mes appels "it hurts me a lot that you don't answer my phonecalls", but then the adressee wouldn't be the one who's actively hurting the sender as it is expressed in the original...
I hope I let me be understood about this simple and short text here... |

| smyعدد الرسائل: 2481 | Thanks a lot Frankcy! I understand what you mean, and with the suggestions above I can see it should be "you're hurting me a lot by not answering my phonecalls" as you say.
