I don't know why this transaltion should be an exception compared to the ones produced before?
As I agree with Elmota regarding the part about "credit".

"on credit" sounded really awkward to me dear shinyheart !yes certainly , I can tell you what would a native speaker say: "Books are not for sale on hire purchase."
See you!

Hey ladies! there's no need to make a racket!

"to sell sth on credit" is totally correct in English.
I don't understand why it sounds so strange to you.

"hire purchase" is used mostly in Britain.

well lilian reason being is that "on credit" immidiately suggests credit cards for Arabic native speakers, we almost never use "on credit" to mean hire purchase, if i had to choose, i would choose hire purchase bacause Arabic speaking people would not confuse it with "credit card purchase" thats why we got thrown off by it

"we" are you refering to arab people? why do you use hypothesises, why don't you be sure and offer proof that "on credit" is false, that is not used any more in such domain!i would be so thankful

Hi Lillian Elmota and all
"hire purchase" sounded way too good. I guess this was the other word Imene wanted to point out for. And yes, it associates no confusion.

I've added that option in the remarks. I don't think this takes further discussion.
Thank you all for your input.

j'ai pas dit que ton "on credit " est faut!
mais c'est juste un point de vue, mon point de vue à moi c'est tout!!
"on credit is not a suitable method of buying
comparatively inexpensive articles like books
