What about "amateur"?

Lilian, 1) What was the word that you suggested the translator change to "amateur", and 2) Should the word "interests" be singular maybe? The usual expression in English is "an expression of personal interest", in other words, what the person is interested in.

But it certainly would be helpful if we understood the context here - the Turkish translator and experts are having trouble with it.

Also, what are the quotation marks doing in the original?
