Since the requester haven't answered my question, he most likely doesn't care of the translation anymore.
But if it was like I have typed above, it would mean:
Literally: “It is not good when freedom/liberty is sold, not even for all the gold”

Meaning: “Freedom / Liberty cannot /should not be sold, not even for all the gold.
