Gelmez dediğimiz zamanların sırası da zamanla gelmedi mi sanki? | Remarks about the translation | Tamamıyla oldugu gibi çevrilsin.. Benim kendi sözüm bu. Yani elbet beklediğimiz zamanlarda birgün elbet gelecektir anlamında yazdım.. |

Surely the times of which we say they will never come about, do come to pass. | Remarks about the translation | Alternatively as a rhetorical question:
"Didn't the times of which we said/thought they would never come, come to pass?"
Or literally of which i think it doesn't convey the message right: "As if the times of which we said they would never come, didn't come to pass." |

"As if the times of which we said they would never come, didn't come to pass."
is better. | | | 12 April 2010 20:10 | | kfetoNumber of messages: 953 | hello Merdogan
I put that literal version under remarks because in turkish it asks a rhetorical question while using ' sanki'(as if) to express certainty about the positive/opposite condition.
in english translating it literally doesn't convey the meaning i think.
keeping the rhetorical question while dropping the as if or starting the sentence with 'surely' does. |
