"have lived" is better than just "lived". I'm not sure there is any need for a comma after the word "why".

I agree with Bamberbi and Jairhaas, "have lived" would be better.

"have lived", why is the auxiliary <have> dropped, or else it sounds more like Ahmet lived in Germany, but then moved out.
