'falling' and 'rising' are not the right words, also 'not never' sounds ungrammatical to me.

Well, I guess "Glory does not mean never falling" would sound a little better. As with "falling" and "rising"... I can't find two words to replace them, so they seem to be the best choice...

I agree with cacue23 that it would sound better as "Glory does not mean never falling".

Hello all. Ig I have translated it that way it's because I found it here. At the beginning I had translated it exactly like Cacue and Casper.

Here is the link:

Please let me know what you think about it and thanks for your help.

Yeah, I guess if you put an "in" there it would be just fine. "Isn't" and "never" side by side does sound like a double negative (although we do intend a positive ).

I just simply think it's better to wright something like: "Glory doesn't lie in every victory, but in standing up each time you fall"

Lene,
I think that "Æren" = definite form, others perfect

Thanks to all of you. I can see that Lilian has already chosen for me. Lilian, Pia mentioned that "Æren" is in definite form, but do we need this in English.
Thanks again to all of you.
