Hi Pia,

I think it would sound more natural just:

"Things tend to turn out alright."

Do you agree?

Hi!

This is a motto, I don't know if there is a better way to put it into English. If I am not mistaken it's smth like "Things tend to arrange themselves.", like without people interferring, on their own, in time, to get in order.

Ah... Since (I think) 'järjestyä' can be translated as 'ordna sig' in Swedish (get sorted, be fine, be okay etc) I thought 'Asioilla' (asia -sing.)... refered to other things than material ones, "spiritual things /matters". That's why I interpreted it as "turn out alright".

Thanks Freya

Lilian... you might edit (or reject) since my understanding of Finnish seems veery vague, sorry for that

I am not a native either, so it's better to wait for a native opinion before rejecting or editing.

I found it here, last line.

"Motto: Asioilla on tapana järjestyä. Very rough translation in english: Eventually things will go as you wish."

I voted green. The meaning is clear now. I pointed out more the structure, than the meaning in my first comment. "Järjestyä" is to get organized, arranged, sorted out.

After you wrote, it's a motto -I did a search... but couldn't find it. Good done xx

Yes, we probably need a native to confirm it, even if I think you know Finnish pretty good Freya. I don't!!! Should probably do so, since I worked for many years with Finnish people.
