Ian, can you help me with this one? It's about an engine - probably a fuel-injection one.
The middle part is good, but I don't know about "period" - should it be "length", or even "length of injection"? Also, the last sentence really means "warning light indicates failure", but it doesn't say "warning light" - it just says "lighting" - any suggestions?
Yes, injection period would be the the right meaning. I wasn"t sure if I can say period or time. But I did some research and found this one on:
http://www.motorera.com/dictionary/
Injection period:
The length of time for which fuel is sprayed into the intake ports or combustion chamber during fuel injection. It is controlled by the electronic control unit. The injection period depends mainly on engine speed and the amount of induced air and is normally between approx. l.5 and 9 millisecond"
And I like "warning light indicates failure" .
It is a "meaning only' translation so you are the English experts who can say whether the translation sounds good in English.
Thank you so much, Kafetzou and IanMegill2.
