Νομιζω ότι είναι το ίδιο. Εαν κάτι πουλάς σε χοντρική, πουλάς μεγάλη ποσότητα καί όχι ανά κομάτι.

"Καπελα σε χοντρική" means that the huts are being sold in a low price as the price that a retail shop buys. In other words , hats in wholesale price.
Usually, hats in bulk means that are many hats usually without a proper package but in a better price due to their improper package.
This is what I will understand with this term due to a different use of the term bulk in my business of buying hardware (screws, nuts , bolts and etc.)
