"Maria, you are very welcome in our home... we hope (look forward) to see you here in Sweden in the future!" CC: lenab pias | | | 30 October 2010 00:04 | | lenabNumber of messages: 1084 | på Sveriges framsida = In the front of Sweden/ Swedish front(side).
This may sound weird, but it's like a mock war between the east coast and the west coast in Sweden. Both claim to be the front of Sweden, faceing the world while the other would be in the back. | | | 30 October 2010 08:34 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Agree with Lena!
I think in the very beginning it was Göteborg (the city) who claimed that name "Sveriges framsida" or more playful "Bästsidan" (The best side) But later, just as Lena told, it has become a feud between the west-coast & east-coast.
"Maria, you are very welcome TO our home... we look forward to see you here on the front side of Sweden" | | | 30 October 2010 13:25 | | | Hum...that "framsida" puzzled me.
Yeah...only a native could understand it right away
Thanks girls, I'll adapt the translation. |
