I don't like farewells, that's why I didn't accompany you, but I couldn't resist and run to the reception. The bus was ready to leave and I couldn't see you. I waved in the air hoping you would see it. I have the image of you leaving the restaurant waving at me. I am very lucky to have met you. I thank you for giving me that chance.

I waved in the air
I've the image ---> I have the image

In English it would sound better as:

I am very lucky for having met you. I thank you for giving me that chance (the chance of meeting you).

Dear Lilian. Thanks a lot for the word "air". I just couldn't find a word but you did it for me. Have edited last part of it as you suggested it. As you say: It sounds much better. Thanks a lot for your help which I really appreciate.

As you say: Thought I had done it. Suppose I need to go to bed. It's almost 02am here. But now it's done.

"accompany" mostly used for music => "come with" or "go with"
"... lucky for having met you" => "...lucky to have known/met you"
