"comiti" bedeutet neben "Begleiter" auch "Gefährte", "Erzieher", "Teilnehmer", "Staatsdiener", "Graf", "Vasall", "Klient" oder "Kamerad"; oder "Versammlungsplatz", aber dann nur im Genitiv (siehe unten).
"gauelum" ist falsch geschrieben, vermutlich ist "gaulum" gemeint.
Statt "schulden würde" kann man auch "schuldet" sagen.
Man könnte auch übersetzen "..., von dem er die/eine Trinkschale des Begleiters schulden würde"
oder
"..., von dem er die/eine Trinkschale des Versammlungsplatzes schulden würde"
Bei "curtilium" bin ich mir nicht sicher. Ich konnte es in keinem Wörterbuch finden, die Übersetzung zu Innenhof ist ergoogelt (womit ich nicht Google Translate meine!). |

Well, for what it's worth, here's what my translation means in English: "But if someone has a courtyard of which he'd owe a drinking bowl to the companion"
but that's only one way of translating the sentence without having more context. |
