SIMPLESMENTE
Quantas vezes eu já fracassei
Quantos bons momentos desprezei
Por pensar demais, por ouvir demais
Por não saber olhar a vida simplesmente
Dentro desse louco turbilhão
Cada um querendo ser melhor
É muito melhor se deixar ficar
Em tudo que você sentir
Simplesmente

SIMPLY
How many times I've failed
How many good times I've despised
For thinking too much, for hearing too much
For not knowing how to look at life simply
Inside this mad whirl
Each one wanting to be better
Far better is letting yourself lay
In everything you feel
Simply
Bemerkungen zur Übersetzung

Isn't 'despised' a bit too strong here?
I think in the original, the meaning is rather one of 'not realised its value' than 'to regard with contempt or scorn' or 'to dislike intensely; loathe' (some meanings of 'despise' in which it is commonly used).

Hum...what about: belittled?

I think that would be someone talking about things, making them seem less than they are. It is a tricky one, I haven't found a good sounding word yet (which is why I didn't suggest one )
How about undervalued? dismissed?

In case of doubt, I still prefer to stick to the original verb
