Hi Maki, did you base your translation on the Spanish version?

Hi Lilian,

I based it on the Dutch version.
I translated it into Spanish too.

OH OK
Did you see my remark under the Spanish translation?
What do you think?

Yes, I saw it.

Achter - Detrás
tranen - las lágrimas
van verdriet - de dolor
schuilt - se esconde
een glimlach - una sonrisa
van herinnering - de recuerdo

I was wondering why you thought it wasn't correct.

I didn't say it was not correct, I just wondered if you could have possibly inverted the nouns.

No, they haven't been switched
The note explains this well known (in Dutch) phrase: even while you may be mourning the end of something good, the loss of someone beloved etc., if you look beyond your sorrow you still have the good memories that make you smile.
I think this is a very good translation.

Thanks Lein, I guess I can accept it now.
