Does this mean "I missed you a lot, my love."? CC: handyy | | | 6 Decembrie 2008 17:05 | | handyyNumărul mesajelor scrise: 2118 | Yep, but --> "I miss you" or "I have missed you" (not past tense) | | | 15 Decembrie 2008 17:37 | | MaribelNumărul mesajelor scrise: 871 | The use of verb forms is a bit different in Finnish, but how do you alfredo feel? Would you like the translation to stay like it is (i missed you a lot laste week f.ex.)? The possible changed version would be: "Olen kaivannut sinua paljon, rakas." (i have missed you a lot during the months we have not met f.ex.) | | | 15 Decembrie 2008 17:50 | | MaribelNumărul mesajelor scrise: 871 | Very well, now I will accept.
(Really, in Finnish the verb form's main function is to tell when time, normally nothing to do with how often or did it happen only once or anything like that. To tell about those things we mostly use radixes.) | | | 15 Decembrie 2008 17:53 | | MaribelNumărul mesajelor scrise: 871 | Oops, one thing more. You can use "rakas" but maybe "rakkaani" would be better? |
