In English it would be better to put either

"We will go on an excursion"

or

"We will do an excursion"

We will go on an excursion.

It's not entirely wrong, but a word is missing and it would sound better "we are going on a trip". That was Kafetzou's opinion about the same translation and I fully agree.

"We will go on excursion" is more correct I guess.

it's not correct translation. Should be "We will go ON excursion"
