Nam legales quidam sunt, scilicet quinque libri Moysi, quos Iudaei communi nomine Thora, idest legem vocant: quia in illis lex tradita totae comprehenditur.
Moreover, there are some books about the laws, also known as the five books of Moses, that the Jews usually call the Thora, which means "Law", because in those books all the passed laws are collected.
Remarks about the translation
"idest legem vocant" , because in hebrew the word Thora stands for "Law" .(so the book of Torah= the book of the Law). "Traditae" refers to all the laws handed down trough the centuries into the hebrew community.
