The word "tIQHa'qu'" is literally "really (or very) un-ancient". "tIQHa'" (un-ancient) would also work here." Another way to translate 'modern' is with "DaH", 'now': DaH yIn vIyIn vIneH. But I think that is the wrong sense of 'modern' for this text, and in this case, it would more likely be interpreted as "Now I want to live (a) life.".
