| a cylinder for waste rubber, a mill for waste rubber | TranslationEngels Translated by lakil | Target language: Engels
a cylinder for waste rubber, a mill for waste rubber | Remarks about the translation | This really does not make much sense and I used those words as I am not sure what kind of text this is taken from...Tx.:)
Note: If this sentence is part of a "definition" of some kind no articles are used, I think, but if it is taken out of a text articles are used. lakil |

Last messages | | | | | 19 October 2007 13:14 | | | In remark about the text it says it is about wasted rubber industry so there are many ways to translate this (too many machines which are doing more or less the same job - roll, crack etc.) Maybe you should just add "wasted" before rubber and leave it like that | | | 19 October 2007 14:18 | | lakilNumber of messages: 249 | Oh, I see...I did not see that... "wasted" sounds good. Thanks Roller-Coaster. ) | | | 19 October 2007 17:56 | | MaskiNumber of messages: 326 | I googled a bit, seems english language, except perhaps in the circles of people who actually do this has no special word for it either, it has an "apparatus for shredding rubber" and "machines for trituration of rubber" so i'm voting correct | | | 20 October 2007 04:22 | | | The article is incorrect here - it is not "a rubber" it is the material "rubber". | | | 20 October 2007 11:17 | | lakilNumber of messages: 249 | You are right kafetzou...Thank you. It's fixed. ) | | | 21 October 2007 11:16 | | | Hello lakil,
does this mean
a cylinder for waste rubber, a mill for waste rubber
i.e. that the rubber was used before, but now it's garbage, and has to be disposed of or recycled or something?
"wasted" rubber is ambiguous, so I want to change it to "waste rubber," if my guess is correct! | | | 21 October 2007 16:34 | | | | | | 22 October 2007 00:12 | | | Okay, I guess I'll change it and validate it, then!
If anybody has any serious objections, let me know: I'll change it back! |
