I don't know if "I hurt myself" is a good translation of "Στον εαυτο μου εκανα κακο". I hurt myself sounds like you physically hurt yourself- stubbed a toe, banged your head, etc. Perhaps "I got hurt"?

"hurt (tr.)" means also "to cause emotional suffering" and that's the way we use it here (I think it's clear in this context). It's "I hurt myself (e.g. "In the end, it's myself that I hurt/harmed with the decisions I took" not "I got hurt" (πληγώθηκα).
