Hi Melissenta

Wow, what a pretty poem.

I can't do Russian, so I'll have to ask for a poll, but your English seems good here.

Just one question, is it "hold and don't leave" or "hold me and don't leave" pr "hold on and don't leave"?

If my sclerosis fails me today :-) It's lyrics to a song of the popular Ukranian girl group "ViaGra". Let me make a suggestion. I think "My Beloved Light Ray B.L.R" is better.

Where do these seemingly random abbreviations come from? The original says L.M.L.

I have hesitations concerning this variant: "Thread of light". Perhaps, it's possible to change my variant into "sunshine". It's more wide-spread in English songs.
To Tantine:
So, Tantine, I've corrected "hold me". Please, suggest your variant on translation of "thread of light". In Russian variant it means a "sunray" or "sunbeam" but in a diminutive-hypocoristic form and it refers to a beloved person. Which phrase or word is more appropriate in English in this case?

Л.М.Л. - the first letters of the phrase "Лучик Мой Любимый" in the Russian variant.

Hi Melissenta, Rainnsaw, Kafetzou, Casper

"Sunbeam" is a typical term of endearment in England, "Sunray" is not, so I would choose "Sunbeam".

I must say, Veroliga's suggestions is right. And in the first sentence, it seems to me that she proposes to hold her hearth and then everything that comes with it. But it's not so important.
