I have hesitations concerning this variant: "Thread of light". Perhaps, it's possible to change my variant into "sunshine". It's more wide-spread in English songs.

Л.М.Л. - the first letters of the phrase "Лучик Мой Любимый" in the Russian variant.

"Sunbeam" is a typical term of endearment in England, "Sunray" is not, so I would choose "Sunbeam".
