| | What do "joinery" and "hatch" mean? Are they specialized words? I've never heard them before. |

| | Hey, "joinery" is like all wooden parts/components of the house - windows, doors, sometimes even floor. And for the hatch... In original text it says only "otvor" - it means hatch, access, hole, I guess it's some part of that house.

| | Hm, "woodwork" is "joinery" in a house, but not in furniture nor on boats. If the text concerns furniture or boats then "joinery" is preferable.
Hatch: opening, especially on a boat or any "living quarters" vehicle.

All woodwork is done with disease-free, well-seasoned fir timber. The shape and size of the hatch are tailored to the specifications of the opening.
Maybe we should ask the submitter what the text refers to, i.e. what they're building? |
