There is a mistake in the Turkish text.

Kağıt, zarfa sığmadığı için kesmek zorunda kaldım. (= I had to cut the paper because it didn't fit into the envelope)

If you are right about Turkish text, it will be like your offer.

In my humble opinion, the simple past tense should be usedfor the translation. I mean "It didn't fit." is more proper than "It doesn't fit"
