	Tantine Number of messages: 2747	Hi Xini Maybe you should put "whilst" bowing, rather than "while"? If not, the rest seems fine to me. I'd forgotten the use of the term "dampen" in this context until I read your text. Bises Tantine I don't speak such good Musicianese, but my Stringese is not that rusty.

	Tantine Number of messages: 2747	Hi Xini In this particular case, in fact, you can use either form, as both can be translated into Italian (musicianese) as "mentre". If I made the suggestion it is more because it "sounds" better to my ears. There is no problem in translating it as it is, mine was just a suggestion, not an imperative. Baci Ruth
