Des nouvelles de Yasmine
Translation
French

Translated by Mokhtari
Target language: French

C'est vrai?
Des nouvelles de Yasmine?
Ou bien tu ne la vois pas.
Alors, tu m'as oublié?
Par contre, moi je n'oublie pas.

bridge:
(i dont think the first line is proper arabic, something is missing)
News of Yasmine
Or you do not see her?
What, you forgot me?
I on the other hand never forget
--end bridge--
that sounds a bit disconnected!

I systrannized this line #1 and obtained :
"From grandfather", and Mokhtari translated : "C'est vrai?", and I must say I'm a bit confused (it means "is it true?".
Mokhtari, could you explain this first sentence? is it some kind of idiomatic Arabic expression?"
I can't validate without knowing what it is about.
Thank you

actually "From grandfather" is correct, but it can be read in another way, "jad" means "seriously", now if the guy just said "jad?" i would have said yeah sure, it means "really?" or "seriously?" but the problem is that first word coming before it, listen, knowing how slang burns like fire amongst the young (and everybody as a matter of fact) this could be the new hip way of saying: seriously? you have no idea how many new hip ways we hear in a month
