This is a strange Japanese text, even though the requester calls himself "nihonjin" because two very different Japanese words are being used here which mean "I," and these two words would not be used back-to-back in the same situational context...

actually has no literal English equivalent. It literally means:

Sure, that would be a good substitution, suitable for this context. If a phrase doesn't exist in the target language, we can safely use something else that would suit the context, in my opinion.
