"...enquanto ela dormia"? Mas ela quem? A nuca não seria, pois os substantivos não tem gênero gramatical em inglês.

Hi, Mikail! There's no other way to translate 'cricked my neck' but 'tive um torcicolo'. It could be, with 'nuca', torci minha nuca, but it's too weird.
