| | "Dude" points the person who author's talking to, it's not the person who has been mentioned in the text. So we can't say anything about that person's gender, mentioned in the text.
Also the text is written in daily speaking language so "dude" would be properer than "blood brother" in use. Both gives the same meaning though. |

"dude" means "friend" not "blood brother". As you know "to be blood brother" has an another meaning.

| | merdogan, the word bloodbrother isn't appropriate in English for how it's used in Turkish.. In Turkish it just means 'mate' as far as I know (which in English then does refer to a male, but i've also only heard boys using kanka..) |

Yes you are right ,'kanka= KAN KArdeÅŸi' is usually used between boys. We say "blood brothers". As you know "brother" is a boy. |

You know these little punctuations were not issued just to give more work to the one who's typing :
