'one and single thing' is not something you can say inEnglish. Should this be 'one and the same thing'? Or maybe 'one single thing'? Or do you have another suggestion? Thanks! | | | 21 Március 2013 23:21 | | | It may mean "Everything is unique.", but the way it is expressed.. Even in Turkish it doesn't sound 'fluent'.
I guess that's my best.
"Everything is unique." | | | 22 Március 2013 09:59 | | LeinHozzászólások száma: 3389 | Thanks! I have set a poll to get other people's input | | | 22 Március 2013 21:39 | | | "Everything is one single thing" would be better.
Note: The Turkish sentence is incorrect. 'Bir' and 'tek' have the same meaning. | | | 23 Március 2013 10:37 | | minuetHozzászólások száma: 298 | How about "Everything is one and one only"? | | | 23 Március 2013 22:25 | | | 'everything is unique by its own (way)'
or '... by itself' ? | | | 24 Március 2013 10:10 | | LeinHozzászólások száma: 3389 | I am trying to understand what is meant by the phrase - please bear with me. All your help much appreciated
There is only one [copy] of everyting - is that essentially what it says?
In that case Figen's suggestion sounds very elegant to me:
