What do you mean by "I looked behind you" and "I don't look behind me"?

I would say "I looked after you (when you were leaving)" but I thought that it could be mingled with the other sense of "look after". Then I prefered using "look behind"...

humm...what about this?:

Once, I looked at you leaving, I cried for you, now I don't look back anymore. Once, I burnt the world for you but now I don't even strike a match !!
