There are no brackets in the original text of course, I meant that the phrase I put into parenthesis is implied so that the translation is clear. So, the translation is correct, though I would suggest "Κοίταξα τα μάτια σου και νόμιζα πως ήσουνα θεός, μα τελικά ΚΑΤΑΛΑΒΑ ΟΤΙ ήσουν ένας ψεύτικος θνητός".
