The sky is enormous tonight, the sky knows where my little baby is, the sky is to blame for everything tonight, if only you were here, but you aren't.

Hi maki,

Is "huge" the only option for the sky?

"the sky knows where my little baby is,..

Does "guilty" mean "responsible"?

"if you were at least here" should read:
"if only you were here"

What do you think?

Agree with lilian. My suggestion is as it follows:
"The sky is enormous(endless)tonight, the sky knows where my little baby is, the sky is to blame for everything tonight, if only you were here, but you aren't."

according to the French version, I have two small observations:
only the sky knows...
... but you aren't anymore/anylonger.

and "cherie" is "dear/beloved...", but not little baby...

Hello! Do not worry too much about the French version to evaluate, better focus on the Croatian and English one at the moment, as you'll notice that this is a "meaning only" translation request, the translation into French that was done is excellent and displaid as a poetry,-we French use to say "Dieu seul le sait"-"only God knows", as mostly in people's mind sky refers to God ...and the meaning is the same as the English one. Given that one cares about "the meaning" as a validation criterium, we can say that both English and French translations are validable here, as far as the English one is correct and renders the meaning as well.
