I was actually reading about speed dating the other day. It was simply too uneconomic to sit in the bar and try to get to know people. Because of that people started 8 Minute Dating two years ago. The Idea was that one should have 8 minutes to get to know each other.

Hi Pia,
I didn't understand what you meant by:
"Therefore one started 8 Minute Dating two years ago."

"För två år sedan startade man därför 8 Minute Dating." is quite confusing to me.

The rest is OK

Hello Lilian
Is this more understandable English: "Because of that one started 8 Minute Dating two years ago."

?

What doesn't make sense to me is that "one".
The sentence would read better if "people" was used.

"Because of that people started 8 Minute Dating two years ago."

But I'm not sure if that conveys the sentence in Swedish.

Ah...I see!
I don't think that the meaning will be changed if you write people or maybe "they".
Shall I edit now "boss"?

yes, that would be nice.

Why are people calling me "boss"?
Am I being "bossy" on my suggestions?
I hope not!

No, you are not "bossy" in a bad way Lilian,
but bossy in a cute way, a good boss.

Thanks a lot for your help, I'll edit now!
