This is good. Corrections:

I don't think "grounded" is the right word, but I'm not sure. What is the meaning of the word öğütülmek in Turkish?

Firstly, thank you for the corrections.

I think you are right. "Grounded" is used in the kitchen. "Öğütülmek" means "grounded","grinded" or "milled" (like coffee or something) in English. But this was a metaphor and Turkish metaphors may not be the same in English. In the original Turkish text writer wants to say that "they studied hard" by writing "öğütülmüş". Is there a metaphor for this situation in English or shall I only write "we studies hard?".

Thanks again.

Ah - then you don't mean "grounded" (like an electrical wire - the past participle of "to ground" ) - you mean "ground" (like coffee - the past participle of "to grind" ) - and you're right - that doesn't work in English.

You can say we've had the material ground into us - will that work somehow?

elifyo, why did you ask for an administrator to check this page? I am an administrator, but I don't see why you need one.

"We have had the material ground into us" is better I guess.

Sometimes I can not be sure about the metaphors, idioms or phrases in English.I wanted an administrator to check that page because I was not definitly sure about my translation and as you see using "grounded" was not right.
