Kiingereza

Lugha inayolengwa: Kiingereza

the smell of the hot asphalt
is pasting onto my new flip-flops
during the walk in the town
by the river
in eye - an eye
the glasses are too dark
in the hand, flavorless ice cream
the river is passing me by
greeting with a hat
the drowned one
on a pedestrian bridge, some women
are loudly urging the young man

to his last jump.

greeting with a hat --> greetings with a hat (3. person singular)

Women are not shoving the young man, they are making him jump.

Hi Maki,

'greeting' is not the infinitive of the verb therefore it can't take an "s" in the 3rd person.

The line means:
"the river is passing me by
(and is) greeting with a hat"

About "shoving"...could it be: "inciting/urging"?

Oh, yes! How stupid of me! Sorry...

I think "urging" would be fine.
