Isn't that a passive sentence?
I thought it should read "var utelämnat", but of course I must be wrong.

Well, it's not wrong to say "var", but that kind of describes a state more than what has happened. If you are omitted it's passive from your part, but the one who omits is active.
Was this too confusing??
