Italians use the word "compUter", not "compIUter". The word "month" is "mese", with 1 "S". They say "fino a", not "fino in", which is why you should say "fino alle ultime settimane". The word "week" is with 2 "T" - settimana. And I also think that the frase "he'd torn himself...when I came home" means "he would torn himself..." and in that case in italian you should use the imperfect - si strappava dal lavoro quando tornavo a casa.
