Is there any conjugated verb in this text?

As I can see there's no verb at all, but the word battle is conjugated and without the rest of the sentence it can't be translated in different way than:

"And bitter battle for the triumph of good against evil"

What do you mean by: "the word battle is conjugated"?

It should be some kind of declension.
