Oh this one is quite difficult to translate....
But I think I would put it like this:
"Do not suppose, be certain.
But does one need to be certain of what one supposes?"
The last part of the sentence COULD, however, also be interpreted like this:
"But does one wish to understand what one believes?"
I think I would put the last version in the comment field as an alternative interpretation.
