I agree with merdogan's suggestion, but with a few edits:
"The time at which I don't think about you is the time I don't live" | | | 12 July 2009 01:28 | | | But is that present or past? CC: merdogan | | | 12 July 2009 02:29 | | | I agree with Handyy it's present. | | | 12 July 2009 08:45 | | | It can be also "present". | | | 12 July 2009 12:06 | | | zaman dır --> present
zaman dı --> past
It must be present, Lilian. | | | 12 July 2009 12:33 | | | Yes, Handyy is right!
Could you edit it, please, Lilly? | | | 12 July 2009 12:40 | | | Actually, I don't see a relevant difference between the versions
We would be saying the same thing just using more words. If the line were inserted in a poem or something I agree we should try to be loyal to the original wording, but for an isolated line, "The time when" or simply "When" is the same.
Do you think that edit is really needed, handyy? | | | 12 July 2009 12:58 | | | Well, Lili, I thought we should be loyal to the original text, as it is not "meaning only" request. Besides, we don't know for what purpose the requester wants this translation -it could be both a line of a poem or just an isolated line.
Still, you're the expert here; if you think, the edit is not needed, then, let's remain it as it is now! | | | 12 July 2009 13:04 | | | Ok, let's keep the original wording, then
Thanks guys for your help |
