smy, I think that idenisenko's suggestions are good ones, but if we use the verb "üzmek" where he suggested, we should also use it for the previous phrase, so:

Actually, I think the comment I just made above is incorrect. I looked at the original and I see that there are two different verbs used. The first one is "to make someone suffer", and the second one is "to wound someone".
