It's hard to say whether it's right or wrong because I was told that "Yo tu giero" doesn't exist.

Well my guess was that the original should read "Yo te quiero" which translates quite well into "Jeg elsker deg".
My kind of literal translation would be: "Jeg elsger du". But I've allready been reproved for inserting deliberate mistakes in translations. :-))
