That one line spoils your English translation "hit good winds". It needs to be replaced with something that means the same thing but also is something we would say in English.

"catch the good winds" is closer, but still not what we need.
I assume it is a term one might find on a ship at sea. I might say "spread your wings and fly like the wind" or something.
