Remarks about the translation
Here is a bridge: "I don't know if dogs go to heaven. But when I die I would like to be (/go) at the same place" (where dogs go, Note by User10)

Hi dear!
ut morior --> si moriar?

But death is not a hypothesis. It's not a matter of "if" but of "when"...

Efee, but in English it is a condtional. And I believe we can't use "praesens" here in Latin.
Maybe "quando moriar"? or "cum mortuus ero"?

I'd like to use "cum mortuus ero".

Ok, Efee, but if you use "cum mortuus ero", can it be subjunctive "velim" in the second clause or should it be replaced by indicative "volo"?

I think it can be - "periodo ipotetico misto", where verbs can have different moods.
What do you think?
