Hasle twig | Remarks about the translation | If it is a surname, are you sure you didnt spell it wrong? The correct way would be Hasselkvist (hassel is a nut and kvist is a twig on a tree). |

Last messages | | | | | 25 Januarie 2007 05:08 | | | Should it be "hazel nut twig"? | | | 25 Januarie 2007 09:54 | | | This is a surname, it is not to be directly translated. Hazel twig in that case. | | | 25 Januarie 2007 14:46 | | | I thought the requester wanted it translated. Can you ask her, carina? | | | 25 Januarie 2007 14:50 | | | I did translate it! Hazel twig in that case! | | | 25 Januarie 2007 14:53 | | | What's "hazel"? I think we have to say "hazel nut" in English. | | | 25 Januarie 2007 15:03 | | | That exactly why i say it can not be directly translated to english. Hazel nut twig is "hasselNÖTgren" and that is not the case. In swedish it is exactly hazel twig. The word Hassel doent exist for itself in swedish either. But since it is a name it doesnt have a meaning. |
