I don't think "to send one's life to the other's door" is quite understandable for an english speaker. The translation is word by word.

I reverence your comment but I don't understand something. Please help me!
'the translation word by word'.
What does it mean? Don't we make translation for this purpose? Maybe, some translations don't enforce the this rule. It isn't necessary,if none difference of meaning. But there is nothing else for this translation !

It means that sometimes texts can be a little poetic in Turkish but don't sound the same when you translate them literally into English. I do think it's acceptable though yunatan. Especially if you read the whole text you can sort of imagine life knocking on the door..
