Yes actually, I thought 'examining' would give the same meaning, but I shall change it with 'questioning'.

'questioning' is better than 'examine'.
what about 'searching'?

Literally it means asking questions. So it'd be better to use 'questioning'. 'Unveil' will considerably change the meaning.
