yön mastiffi | Remarks about the translation | Yöllä elävä/yöllä valvova/yöllä liikkuva mastiffikoira. en tunne espanjankielen taitajia ja toivoisin tähän käännöstä(sanamuoto)jotta se olisi espanjalaisittainkin ymmärretty oikein. ------------------------------------------------- Maribel's bridge : "The mastiff of the night" |

Thanks, cheers!
CC: Maribel | | | 10 December 2007 13:04 | | | Hi, a name yes and no
The second word is a breed of dogs, the mastiff.
It looks like this
The first means night (in genitive) and the remarks tell that by it the submitter wants to express: living at night/awake(or supervising?) at night/moving around at night.
In english I might translate it like The mastiff of the night (cf Lady Diana, the queen of hearts). | | | 10 December 2007 13:08 | | | Oh yes! Maribel, I know these big dogs, I saw some of them at a doggy exhibition, very impressive dogs!
Ok, thanks to your explanation, this request will remain and thanks to the bridge you did into English (that I'm going to add in the comments frame, under the comments in Finnish) I guess it will be quickly translated into Spanish.
Thanks a lot! |
